The Friends of India Association is one of the pioneer community groups in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. For more than 50 years, the organization has celebrated contributions from India and has greatly promoted cross-cultural understanding within the province. The Friends of India Association’s constitution and mandate are of promoting multiculturalism and friendship among different cultural groups in the province and country.
The Friends of India Association is a non-profit organization with an objective to foster friendship between people of Indian origin and all the people from within the province and country and to provide a forum for social, cultural, and educational activities.

Financial assistance to the victims of natural disasters, food bank drives, fundraising for clean water in developing countries.
Fundraising for the school lunch association, single parents association of Newfoundland, and the association for new Canadians.
